Dogtoberfest was a Huge Success!

Thanks to all the wonderful vendors, participants, and DOGS for coming out to Dogtoberfest at the winery in support of the Clark County Humane Society! Thanks to many generous donors, Dogtoberfest raised $2,120 for the Humane Society! In addition, 2 dogs found new homes! Check out the incrediable pictures of dogs in costume and with Santa on our facebook page.

 

Blackberry Wine Is Back!

Due to popular demand, a favorite member of the collection of Brandeberry wines continually sells out! However, the sweet Blackberry fruit wine is once again back on the shelves. It's going fast so stop in and stock up!

Complete your holiday dinner or New Year's Eve party with a selection of wines which will be sure to please everyone! For a special treat, try our new Cranberry Wine, an absolute must for Thanksgiving dinner!.Be sure to plan ahead as Brandeberry Winery is closed November 24-26 for Thanksgiving and will be closing early (6pm) on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

As you sit at our bar and sample our wide selection of wines for everyone on your list, you'll wonder why you ever thought holiday shopping was a chore! It's the perfect way to give a little taste of "Ohio" this year.

 

Warm up with a cup of hot spiced wine easily prepared in a crockpot using a bottle of Brandeberry Merlot and Cranberry. See recipe below.

Hot Spiced Wine Punch

 4 whole cardamom pods
 8 inches stick cinnamon, broken
 6 whole cloves
 750 ml bottle of Brandeberry Merlot wine
 750 ml bottle of Brandeberry Cranberry wine
 1 1/3 cups water
 1 6-ounce can frozen cranberry juice concentrate
 3 tablespoons honey, or more for a sweeter punch
 Orange slices, halved (optional)

Pinch cardamom pods to break open. Tie cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves in a cheesecloth spice bag. In 4-quart crockery cooker, combine spice bag, wine, water, frozen juice concentrate, and honey. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2 hours. Remove and discard spice bag. If desired, float orange slices on top. Makes 9 (4-ounce) servings. For 5 or 6-quart crockery cooker, double all ingredients and cook 6-8 hours on low or 4-5 hous on high. ENJOY!
